How are we different from print-on-demand, self-publishing companys?
A. Simply Request our Brochure (PDF File). Q. Why do you include editorial services in your basic package? A. In addition to our basic Mission Statement, our goal is to introduce well-written work of promising yet unproven authors, representative of our professional standards. Q. Who owns the copyright for my book? A. You do. As the author, you retain all rights to publishing your book. If you decide to leave use for another publishing house, you are completely free to do so. We retain no rights other than what is specified in your contract. Q. How do I get started? A. We suggest you first read our brochure, then E-mail Us. We will contact you within 24-hours to set up a free consultationat your convenience. Q. How do I prepare my book for submission? A. Type your manuscript with DOUBLE SPACING using any MS Word for either MAC or PC. Hard copies only. Q. Why must I type my book manuscript with double spacing? A. This allows ample space for our editors to mark your manuscript and write comments. Q. Can I use my own cover? A. Cover Design is included in our Basic Self-Publishing Package; however, if you already have a professionally-designed cover for your book, that is also acceptable. Q. How can I view proofs? A. Text and cover proofs can be viewed online in PDF format anytime during the publication process. Each client has a private, password-protected folder on our web site for just this purpose. Files too large to be sent via e-mail can be uploaded to out web site. Q. What type of hard copy proofs will I receive? A. During the editorial process, you will receive online proofs; final proofs will be either laser or blueline (velox) for monochrome material, and Matchprint or Chromalin proofs for multi-color projects. Q. How long does it take to get my book published? A. The actual time needed to print your book is generally two weeks. The amount of time needed to prepare your manuscript for printing will vary.
